Sea Dragon

Initial Release: Spring 2004, Random Booster ACT2 Prize (Yellow)

Additional Releases: Hasbro's "Sea Drake" Starter (Yellow), Random Booster ACT5 (Light Blue), Hasbro MA-18 "Sea Drake" (Yellow).

Bit Protector - "Small Type"

Should be noted that BP Size Type on initial release is not consistent for every cycle of production or re-release. Being reproduced the following year could mean a  different BP Size Type for a given Beyblade.

Attack Ring (AR)

Seagon Attacker, ~21g.

Best Possible Combo

AR: Seagon Attacker (Right-Spin)

WD: CWD Defense Ring (with Metal CWD found in RBA2)

RC: Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Version)

Game Plan: Simple and decisive, even when compared to other Attack combos. Knock anything out in the first two encounters, or lose. Seagon Attacker doesn't have enough gas in the tank to produce late-game knockouts as it has too much recoil to retain an RPM that would make its contact points effective. Definitely a fun "all or nothing" style of Attacker.

Weight Disk (WD)

CWD Defense Ring, ~19g. (with 17g Metal CWD)

Best Possible Combo:

AR: Samurai Upper (Right-Spin)

WD: CWD Defense Ring (with Metal CWD found in RBA2)

RC: Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Version)

or

AR: Circle Upper (Mold 2, Right-Spin)

WD: CWD Defense Ring (with Metal CWD found in RBA2)

RC: Bearing Core 2

or

AR: Metal Ape (Either Spin)

WD: CWD Defense Ring

RC: Bearing Core

Game Plan:  Each of these are absolute top-shelf HMS combos for their respective types, and their win conditions are consistent with that typing. The Samurai Upper combo wants to knockout its opponents, the Circle Upper combo wants to stay in the stadium and repel attacks, and the Metal Ape combo wants to last as long as possible in the stadium. CWD Defense Ring is versatile enough to not only make itself at home in every typing, but actually find itself to be perfectly viable and safe in a competitive setting.

CWD Free Defense Ring, ~20g (17g Metal CWD)

Best Possible Combo:

AR: Metal Upper (Right-Spin preferred)

WD: CWD Free Defense Ring (with Metal CWD found in RBA2)

RC: Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Version)

Game Plan: Knock things out, it is that simple. Metal Upper was missing just a bit of secret sauce to make it stand out, because on its own it was a bit lacking compared to The Big Three. CWD Free Defense Ring is that secret sauce, giving it just the nudge it needs to be a powerhouse against an overwhelming majority of what can be thrown at it from the HMS series.

CWD Defense Ring (RBA2)

CWD Free Defense Ring (RBA5)

Running Core (RC)

Metal Ball Core, ~3g.

Best Possible Combo:

AR: Metal Ape (Either Spin)

CWD: CWD Reverse Defenser (with Metal CWD found in RBA2)

RC: Metal Ball Core

Game Plan: Rather than provide a generic and safe Circle/Samurai Upper combo, why not go for something a bit more interesting, like an HMS Compact? You're not picking MBC to play it safe anyway. One could replace Reverse Defenser with something like Circle Heavy, also. This is a fun combo that with the decent recoil of Metal Ape, can highlight how interesting MBC behaves, and perhaps with a bit of luck, even knockout opposing Stamina combos.
